Nicely Done, AT&T!

It's not often that these companies get kudos, but they did VERY right by customers today. Obviously, it was under pressure from those customers, but it was not pressure that was really fair. We all signed contracts and should have to follow them. Here's what I got today, keep in mind I was willing to pay $499 for my new phone, since that's what my contract said:

Our records indicate that you will be eligible for a full upgrade discount in July, August or September 2009. In recognition of your commitment to AT&T, we are allowing you to upgrade to iPhone 3G S at the best price available as you meet the following criteria:

• Purchased iPhone 3G in July, August or September 2008
• Have an average combined monthly recurring charge of $99 or more
• Meet all other AT&T upgrade eligibility requirements regarding good payment history

Please note that when your iPhone order for 8178297710 is processed for shipping, your selected payment method will be charged the lower, full upgrade price instead of the early upgrade price displayed for iPhone 3G S at the time of your order.
